Development of a Data Strategy
We helped our client develop a clear and actionable data strategy, with which all business processes can be optimized through effective data usage and AI integration.

Challenge
Our customer faced problems caused by a fragmented data landscape. Data was isolated in silos, and there was no unified approach to ensure data quality. Additionally, the company lacked data-related skills. These deficiencies led to difficulties in cross-departmental reporting. Furthermore, business units were forced to process data manually, diverting them from their core tasks. This resulted in an inefficient workflow and prevented the company from reaching its full potential.
To optimize the use of data and create a data-centric company, we supported our client in developing a well-founded data strategy. To do this, we assess a company’s data maturity using our standardized Data Strategy Framework. This includes, among other aspects:
- Maturity of the existing data architecture
- Data management
- Data quality
- Roles
- Organizational structure
- Data security
- Data protection
- Data culture in the various business areas of the company.
Approach
We began with a detailed analysis of the current state. This involved evaluating the aforementioned dimensions, including data sources, the quality and relevance of the data, and existing AI applications. In an ambition workshop with participants from management and cross-departmental teams, we collaboratively developed an ambition for handling data. The foundation for this ambition is the business goals to be achieved.
Based on the analysis results, we developed a strategic vision. This vision defines the data-driven goals of the company and serves as a guide for the future handling of data within the company, as well as related processes, roles, and organizational structures. Subsequently, we created a detailed plan (roadmap) that enabled the implementation of a coherent data strategy.
Results
Our work led to the following results:
- Detailed Assessment of the Current Data Status: A comprehensive report that represents the current maturity level of data-related fields within the company.
- Development of a Clear and Aligned Strategic Vision: A vision that defines the goals and future alignment of all the aforementioned aspects, such as data usage and integration.
- Development of Measures and a Roadmap: A roadmap that outlines the implementation of a coherent data strategy and the integration of data as a central element of all business processes. It includes concrete strategic measures for introducing modern data strategy models.
